EU: "Gold coin engraved with the constellation Aries. Jason and the Argonauts sought Aries' golden fleece."

Additional Information[]

The Aries Coin can be found under a zoom-mode glow spot in the Zahhab Region Depths, at coordinates C-3SW (in the northernmost of the Twin Caves, containing several giant isopod). Also found within this glow spot are a pair of barreleyes. Players attempting to find this coin should exercise caution, as the Depths' resident bluntnose sixgill shark tends to patrol the Twin Caves.

This coin is one of twelve needed for the Voice of the Night Sky quest Signs of the Zodiac.

Notes[]

  • The Aries constellation consists of 86 stars, and is bordered by the Perseus, Triangulum, Pisces, Cetus, and Taurus constellations.
    • Aries is meant to represent the Golden Ram in ancient Greek mythology, the same ram that gave the Golden Fleece.
  • In Egyptian mythology, Aries was seen as Amon-Ra, a god represented by a man with a goat's head. He was the god of fertility and creativity.
  • Traditionally, drawings of the ram Aries represents show a wingless ram, laying on the ground with its head facing towards Taurus.
  • In Western astrology, people ruled by Aries are seen as courageous, competitive, honest, driven, and generous, with their negative traits being recklessness, insecurity, tactlessness, being tightly-wound, and overbearing.
