The Dorado is a freshwater fish found only in Endless Ocean: Blue World.
"A beautiful fish with a golden gleam that might make you think of the legendary city of gold, El Dorado, that explorers once sought."
A large group of Dorados can be found in the Cortica River's Upstream area. They live in the back room of the Twilight Temple, which is known as the Sacred Chamber. This is the only place in the game where these fish can be found.
There is a medium-sized group of these fish that live in the Chamber and they are grouped loosely together, swimming around at a slow speed and with no particular pattern. They like being fed, as well as being in pictures.
- Dorados are piscivores, which means that they eat other fish. they are particularly fond of a small schooling fish called 'sabalo' (which does not appear in the games).
- These fish are highly sought after by anglers, both for their fierce fighting spirit and for their meat. They are often targeted by fly-fishers.
- Dorados have strong jaws and very sharp teeth, meaning that, despite its beautiful appearance, these fish should not be trifled with. However, in-game, these fish pose no danger to the player.
