The Frilled Shark is a species of shark found in both Endless Ocean and Endless Ocean: Blue World.

In-Game Description

"Named for the frill shape of its six large gills, it has only one dorsal fin.

Its three-pronged teeth are very primitive and only otherwise seen in fossils."

[The Legendary Sea Serpent?]

Could this shark be behind the legends of giant sea serpents heard in many parts of the world?

Its long, slender body and is less than charming. Its looks fit the description, but at two meters or less in length it is unlikely to be related to a legendary beast said to have wrapped itself around boats.

The truth behind these stories of sea monsters remains a mystery."

Endless Ocean

The Frilled Shark can be found in the Abyss, near Whalebone Chasm.

Endless Ocean 2

These can be found at night in the Cavern of the Gods, only once it has been re-opened.

These sharks are not dangerous. They float around, either solitary or in small groups of two or three. They respond positively to the marks made by the Underwater Pen.

  • Frilled Sharks are a species that has not evolved very much over hundreds of thousands of years, hence the presence of its primitive teeth.
