The Risso's dolphin partner is a befriendable partner in Endless Ocean 2, encountered during the Be the Best Trainer quest.

"The food-loving Risso's dolphin you befriended in the depths of the Zahhab Region.
It loves anything shiny, especially glass bottles and jars."
Appearance[]
This specific Risso's dolphin doesn't differ greatly in appearance from others of his species. His main defining feature is a pale marking on his face that extends from his snout to the top of his head.
History[]
The player is given no history or backstory concerning this specific Risso's dolphin. However, it's a distinct possibility that he had been fed by humans in the past, hence his chunky build and his willingness (bordering on eagerness) to accept food from the player.
Befriending[]
How To Befriend[]
When the player first encounters this dolphin, they will notice that he seems to be particularly hungry. They will need the Squid Meat item from Nancy in order to gain the dolphin's trust the first time around.
However, even after the player feeds the squid meat to the dolphin, he still seems hungry. The player will then need the Seafood Set item (also buyable from Nancy) to feed to the dolphin, and only after he eats that will his hunger be satisfied. He will then become the player's friend and partner.
Quest Description[]
In the player's notebook, the quest about this dolphin is titled "Dolphin in the Deep." It starts out with:
"A large dolphin has been spotted in the depths of the Zahhab Region. Try to find it if you're in the area."
After the player investigates and meets the dolphin for the first time, the notebook will update with:
"You found a hungry Risso's dolphin in the Northern Crevasse. He's pretty plump and seems to want something tasty to eat. Maybe you can buy something from Nancy and try giving it to him?"
After the player feeds him, the quest will close with:
"You befriended the Risso's dolphin by giving it lots of treats!"
